DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
It was simple: I’d find, download, prep, and mix fresh house tracks every Saturday night. People would tune in "like crazy" because it was new for them, new for me, and it felt like good old (new) house music all over again. You know these names, right? DJ Romain, Darryl D’Bonneau, Mod, Seawind, Emily McEwan, Demarkus Lewis, Audioguys, Herb Martin, L’Home C’est Chique, Metrosoul, The Beard, Lady Amma, Uneaq…
We’ve got one silky, smooth, jazzy, funky, soulful, and deeply rich mix here. I even dropped in my own track, “It’s gotta be deep”, give it a listen! What I did on the radio station every Saturday: I’d spin my current deep house hits list and fresh new tracks each week, with a little chat in between to keep the energy going. Some artists I’m into these days include Freak Commission, The Regionalists, Jan Kruger, Cajmere, Kiko Navarro, Jah Ques, Cory Wells, MFM feat. George Caper, Weekend World, Blacksoul, The Coffee Kidz, and Deepgroove.
One of the most downloaded mixes on my site, and I think one of the best I’ve ever compiled and mixed. It was released at the end of 2004, but it still sounds fresh to me every time I hear it—and many other house lovers say the same. I can’t remember how many great parties we’ve had with this one. It’s all about African, Brazilian, and Latin house, along with soulful and deep flavors—my favorite house genres. It’s finally back online for good. Artists: Demarkus Lewis, Richard Dorfmeister, Sin Palabras, Trüby Trio feat Marcia Montez, S.U.M.O., E-Man, Demarkus Lewis, Audiowhores feat Susana Montero, Dennis Ferrer, Mateo & Matos, Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra, Cirque Du Soleil, Sabrina Malheiros, Francois K
I set out to mix a DJ set for my car, but I also wanted something for partygoers—something to get feet moving on the dance floor. The result is an energetic mix with lively African rhythms and soulful jazzy house vibes. I’m grateful to present spectacular house music producers and singers who helped bring it to life: Rose Max, Rafael Backer feat Melinda Williams, Borowa, Africanism Feat Jesse Garcia, David Penn Feat Alexander East, Demarkus Lewis, Deep Influence, José Aguilera & Joe Diaz, Johnny Fiasco, Rhythm Code, Distance, Bobby Blanco & Miki Moto
When I started digging through my collection to find silky smooth jazzy nu-jazz and soulful tracks for my new mix, I immediately named it "Deep Diving."
