DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
Song by Belizbeha - Inhibitions somehow captures Lounge Cafe and Novi Sad through my eyes. When I spin this track, it feels like a fast-forward through my life, ten years in thirty seconds, all the ups, downs, and unbelievable parties we’ve shared. I’ve played it many times, on both low days and high, and it always hits. I’m leaving this city and this country to keep moving forward and to keep spreading the word about deep house. Say hello to: Amnaye, Dennis Ferer, Maxine Inniss, Mr Ali, David Banks, Jacky Jayet, Kraak & Smaak, Chuck Love, Koffe Brown, Demarkus Lewis...
We kicked off 2006 with a blend of old and new grooves, keeping the crowd in the zone as we celebrated life in our Lounge Cafe in Novi Sad. I’m glad I pressed record, the mix captured the moment for us to relive. Featuring a lineup of standout artists: Franck Roger, Anderson Soares Project, Funky Green Dogs, Miguel Migs, Justin Michael, Jackie Wilson, Afro Medusa, Hardsoul, Jafrosax, Juke Joint, Soul Khula, Shik Stylko, Fanatix...
Live DJ set from 2005 recorded at Lounge Cafe. I was gearing up to head to New York, but I seized every moment to play at Lounge Cafe. We had an amazing night, as always, partying hard. I spun deeper cuts for the cold December vibe, mixing in new tracks and current hits, it felt like Christmas came early for me. Check it out: Inner Soul, Afro Medusa, Marlon D, Shaheer Williams, Stephanie Cooke, KOT, Anderson Soares Project...
Two and a half hours of mixed party house music. It’s deep, funky, jazzy, and soulful with great vocals perfect for easygoing gatherings or background chat, good for heart and soul. I’d recommend this DJ mix to house music newcomers, many of whom become fans after hearing it. Shoutouts to: Franck Roger, Shaheer Williams, East West Connection, Jafrosax, Andre Harris, Johnny Fiasco, Jackie, Chuck Love, Chus & Penn, DJ Meme, Rainer Truby, Rasmus Faber, Shik Stylko....
We rode the night with the deepest, funkiest cuts from my collection, sprinkled with extra Afro rhythm.
