House DJ Mixes Archive - 2001
Finally, this was my third and last DJ mix, compiled with records I bought during my NYC trip in September 2001. I really enjoyed mixing this set and discovering fresh, exciting tracks. Music is endlessly inspiring, and I found myself craving more new sounds. All of these selections come from respected producers and singers such as: Solar House, St. Germain, Altocamet, Holland Tunnel, Martin Solveig, Tropical Deep, Jazz Brazillia, HErbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, Jovonn, Bass & Penn, DJ Shine, Teknostep, The DHJ Project, Teddy G, Jask...
Emotions is my second DJ mix, crafted and recorded after my return from New York City and the unforgettable stop at Satellite Records (R.I.P.). New York inspired me deeply, and the memories of that city’s pulse came flooding back as I mixed. The set spans deep, tech, and techno, capturing the emotional range of my visit. I hope it resonates with you and inspires a future trip to this vibrant place. Enjoy the music from: Dalunartikz , Solaris, Altocamet, Hot Lizard, Anti Trance Terrorists, Shuffle, Liquid Phonk, Angel Moraes, Bass & Penn, Full Intention feat Shena, Tropical Deep feat Jazz Brazillia, Rino Cerrone, Michael Peters...
During my September 2001 trip to New York City, the first place I craved visiting (and the spot I hung out at most) was Satellite Records (R.I.P.). It was “the store,” packed with superb deep house records, notable European imports, and a treasure trove of excellent US house that you rarely coudn't find in European vinyl shops. I picked up a bunch of records each day. After returning to Serbia, I mixed my first Deep Lounge set inspired by that experience. Much respect to: Teddy G, Kevin Yost, Blue Six, The DHJ Project, Jask, Tropical Deep, Jazz Brazillia, Suba, Bell & Everything, 7 Holland Tunnel, Lugo, Universal Tongues, Jovonn, Hot Lizard...
This mix was also submitted for Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) in NYC 2001. In contrast to the blue version, this one leans into dance-floor dynamics—perfect for parties and club nights rather than relaxing sets. You’ll hear twisted textures, breaks, horns, tech, disco, funky grooves, and deep vibes. It’s a compilation of tracks I’ve battered loud in the clubs, now unified in Orange Mastermix. It performed well for RBMA, and it could resonate with your audience as well. Enjoy: Brothers' Vibe, Twisted Pair, Petalpusher, Disco-Tex, Atari Playboys, Rick Garcia, Powder Production, Julius Papp, Inland Knights, Soul Of Puertorico, A Small Phat One, Jacob London, The Scumfrog, Halo & Hipp-E & Tony, Jakkata, Olav Basoski, Kevin Yost,.
While I was taking part in the Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA), I submitted this DJ mix and was honored to be selected for the 2001 New York City academy. It’s a special project for me—a fortunate moment that opened new doors. If you’re into lounge, chill, and house, you might want to download or listen with a cocktail or refreshing drink in hand. The mix is rich with depth and soul, weaving lounge textures, deep house, and a touch of tech. Overall, it’s a smooth, summery set that’s perfect for any bar, club, or birthday celebration. Enjoy: Llorca, Kimbu Kimra, Wink, Kevin Yost, Blue Six, Kings Of Tommorow, Li'Sha, Standard White Issue, Kevin Yost, Tony Watson, Mateo & Matos, Photek, The Path feat Marcell, Akabu, Brooks
