DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
At the outset, this mix dives into serious, deep-toned house, then evolves into dirtier, jazzy, funky, sexy disco sounds that deliver that unmistakable underground feel. It carries a beautiful, positive, and sensual energy, and it’ll move your feet—you’ll be dancing before you know it. Do you want it? I do. If you check out these artists, you’ll hear exactly what I’m aiming for: Nostalgia 77 Octet, Andy Ward & Deep Josh feat Diana Waite, Joi Cardwell, Demarkus Lewis, 95 North, Peven Everett, Antonio Ocasio feat Annette Taylor, Cafe Soul All Stars, Eddie Matos, Dennis Ferrer feat Karlon Brooks Sr, Urban Soul, Kerri Chandler, Liquid People
This DJ mix delivers a deep, jazzy, and funky house experience with a darker, underground edge. House music is expanding, giving us more ways to curate the best tracks, and that’s why each new mix gets better. You’ll hear selections that aren’t always on the dance floor or in every DJ set, because isn’t that the point of DJing—sharing something fresh and unexpected? 100% pure quality house music in 80 mins. Enjoy! Artists: Demarkus Lewis Feat Lady Sah, Vikter Duplaix, Dennis Ferrer Feat Tyrone Ellis, Danylo, Urban Soul, Mark Farina, Roy Davis Jr & Mike Edge, Miguel Migs feat Lisa Shaw, Deep Josh, Zazzy, Reel People feat Angela Johnson, Blaze feat Ultra Naté, Sunshine Jones
This is my first mix since settling in my new home city, New York City. You’ll hear a strong NYC influence—from harder beats and deeper cuts to a sometimes darker atmosphere. It can feel tough to live and create here, but if you dig a little deeper into the music, you’ll discover a light of hope and the positive energy we’re all chasing in this amazing city. I didn’t have time last year to add new tracks, so many of the artists in this mix are new to me. Check it out: Mr. V feat Miss Patty, Chuck Love, Bryan Jones, Brown & Origami & Andrew Phelan, Sean Dimitrie Feat Felicia Lee, Kinky Movement, Jazzy Eyewear feat Del, Iz & Diz, Juke Joint, Audio Soul Project feat Lori, Afromento, Roy Davis Jr & Mike Edge, Urban Soul
This was my last live DJ mix, mixed and recorded in Novi Sad at Lounge Cafe before I left for good. I aimed to play the best tracks we’ve enjoyed over the past few years, hoping it would be the night of a lifetime. I was bittersweet, fondness for leaving behind my best friends and family, yet excitement for a new life in New York City. I hope you find it worth downloading and that you enjoy it as much as we did. WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, LOUNGE CAFE (R.I.P.).
Before moving to New York, I wanted to spin one last time in my childhood city of Smederevo. The highlight was playing near my old high school at Club Mashinac, a full-circle moment, and I was ready to roll. It was an amazing night; I stuck to the hits and the crowd was great. I’m pretty sure they hadn’t heard about 95% of the tracks I played, but they vibed with it anyway. The set included: Sumo, Racoon, Cerrone, Juke Joint, Inaya Day, Dee-Lite, Crico Castelli, Jamie Lewis, Knee Deep, Miguel Migs, Johnny Fiasco, Bibi...
