DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
My first NYC gig was at Bona Fide Café on the Lower East Side. I had a blast mixing the latest tracks with some classic hits, and I recorded the set for download: Pig & Dan, Anane & Mr. V, Jay-J, Halo, Latrice Barnett, Jafrosax feat. Vikter Duplaix, RSL, Deep House Soldiers, Breakpoint feat. Jon Banfield, Nick Holder, Les Macons De La Musique...
After a long search and careful selection of new deep, Afro, and tribal house tracks, I wanted to create a relaxing lounge-house DJ mix. That’s how I ended up with “Deep Lounge Session 2.” It starts with spiritual, organic, uplifting sounds, and gradually shifts into a deeper Afro-tribal house mood. Usually I wouldn’t play this style in clubs or dance venues, but for radio or home listening, this DJ mix is a must-have. The artists are: Monday Michuru, Glenn Underground presents The Enigma, Tiger Stripes, Studio Apartment, Pacific Rim Dubs, Chris "Steal Vybe" Forman, Andy Caldwell feat Alexander Sky, Central Avenue, Mike Grant, Deep 6 Syndicate, Kerri Chandler, Hipp-E, JT Donaldson, Spirit Catcher, Osunlade
I love listening to music, especially tracks I’ve never heard before. I’m drawn to music in all its flavors, but I’m happiest with house. If it’s deep, soulful, jazzy, latin, funky, tech, tribal, disco, or garage, I’m in. With so many new artists and releases every day, choosing can be a challenge, but I’ve managed to collect a solid batch of tracks. I decided to mix them into this DJ set. I’m sure many of you will recognize these names: Black Joy, Triangle Orchestra, Fish Go Deep, DJ Garphie, 2 Brothers Of Soul Feat Aqeel 72, Deep House Soldiers, Francesco Diaz feat Bonny Ferrer, Deep Josh & Franco De Mulero feat Harmony Brown, Muzzaik, DJ Circle feat Simon Green, Swirl People feat Heather, Unit Blue, The Rurals, Zlatan Feat The Voice Of Saskia
For the end of 2006, I decided to craft a soulful house mix rich with deep, jazzy influences. I’ve always loved hearing standout vocalists in house—their talent deserves more attention beyond pop and commercial scenes. This mix is emotionally charged yet energetic, and it’s built to move you on the dance floor. Featuring beautiful vocal performances and a roster of respected producers, I’m proud to present: Ananda Project, Solu Music feat Kai Martin, Ralf Gum feat Concha Buika, Demarkus Lewis, Kerri Chandler & Monique Bingham, DJ Spinna feat Heavy, KneeDeep feat Sharlene Hector, Samantha Jones, Solaris Heights, Fresh & Low, Fred Everything & JT Donaldson, Brian Tappert, Soul Creation feat Tyrah Jae, Darryl D'Bonneau & Groove Assassins, Davidson Ospina vs Jack Haiti, Franck Roger, Afro-Mystik, Antonio Ocasio feat Mustafa Akbar, Roy Davis Jr.
This time my aim was to craft a deep-tech house mix that stays true to deep rather than leaning too techy—more deep house, less tech. It opens with easy-listening, soulful, jazzy tunes and gradually evolves into a cohesive deep-tech progression, featuring some standout vocal tracks. We’ve got a lineup of beautiful artists, including: Deep House Souldiers, Shrewd Collective, Roomsa, Blacksoul feat Rithma, Jazzy Eyewear feat Del, Fred Everything & JT Donaldson, Shawn Ward, Magik Johnson, Jimpster, The Rurals, Chuck Love, Sumo feat Aaron Phiri, Brown & Da Sunlounge, Andy Caldwell feat Amma, Iz & Diz
