DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
I pulled together a bunch of awesome funky house tracks and stitched them into a single, unified mix titled Future Funk 2004. The outcome surprised me—in a good way. Getting the break sections right is usually the toughest part, but I pulled off a fresh, contemporary funky sound by the end. The mix started as a private project, but I decided to publish it online for fellow listeners. Feel free to check it out—here are some of the artists you’ll hear on the mix: Jazzanova, Ramsey Lewis, Charles Schillings & Pompon F., Racoon, Cosmic Force, The Detroit Experiment, Manzel, Swag, Charles Schillings & Pompon F., Swag feat Nesreen Shah, BJ Duck, Prince Dred feat Bunny Sigler, DJ T., Tiefschwarz, Switch, Chicken Lips pres Zeefungk, Trentemoller, Charles Schillings & Pompon F.
For my latest project, Go Deep(er), I wanted to explore the more atmospheric side of house music. I’ve woven together a sonic tapestry starting with the mastery of Jon Cutler, followed by the signature sounds of Blakkat, Racoon, and the Chicago legends Roy Davis Jr. and Glenn Underground. It’s a versatile set—built to heal your spirit if you’re low and amplify the energy if you’re high. Artists: Jon Cutler feat Vanessa Freeman, Blakkat & The Barrio Bros, Racoon feat Christine Lucas, Roy Davis Jr., Glenn Underground, Dubble D feat Kate Rogers, Andy Caldwell, Deep Bros. feat Dawn Tallman, DJ Mood feat Mood Rotation, Kiko Navarro feat Concha Buika, Shuffle Inc., J R Hartley feat Lucie Cunningham, Miguel Migs, Mateo & Matos, Barbara Mendes, Dubtribe Sound System, Miss Mee feat Jiney & Mizzy
It opens with the dramatic sounds of the Papa Washington Trio to get your blood rushing, before smoothly shifting into deeper, equally dramatic tracks from Green Keepers, Phaedra, Halo, Demarkus Lewis, and other great cuts that will make you feel refreshed. This isn’t your regular deep house mix—it's a touch different, with a jazzy twist. You’ll enjoy some great house tunes served by: Papa Washington Trio Greens Keepers Phaedra, Halo, Jason Hodges, Demarkus Lewis, Simon, Dizzy & Johnny Fiasco, Home & Garden, Magik J & Soane, Miango, Nigel Hayes, Essa, Mazi, Powder Productions, Phil Weeks, Chris Lum..
Enjoy mellow Latin house rhythms blended with beautiful vocals, jazz, and electronica. If you love soulful house music and you’re in love, this DJ mix is a precious treat for you. What more could you want for hot summer nights than great house music? No matter your mood, you’ll enjoy this cool, relaxed atmosphere. It’s deeply soulful and happily uplifting at the moment. Check it out and you’ll see I’ve mixed in some great names, creating a memorable, sun-soaked vibe: Incognito, Afro-Mystik, Crazy Penis, Miss Mee feat Jiney & Mizzy, Simon feat Latrice Barnett, Glenn Underground, Blakkat & The Barrio Bros, Miguel Migs, Justin Timberlake, Martin Solveig, Bran Van 3000 feat Curtis Mayfield, Brett Johnson, Matthias Heilbronn, Terri Walker Barbara Mendes, Dubtribe Sound System
This mix goes deeper than Summer Lounge, leaning into tech-house textures, electro-funk grooves, and rich deep-house tones. It’s darker, dirtier, and more electronics-forward, perfect for winding down yet keeping you on your feet. Grab a drink, hit play, and enjoy the ride from a lineup of great house music producers: Phil Weeks, Tiefschwarz, DJ Gregory, Glenn Underground, Weekender, 4 Hero, Demarkus Lewis, Mazi feat Ron Carroll, Korben Dallas, Afro-Mystik, J & S Productions, Nigel Hayes, Magik Johnson, Missything, Joshua, Miguel Migs, Index, Blue Six, P'Taah, Dave Warrin
