DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
This time, I’ve mixed some of the best deep house tracks from 2008. After careful selection and thoughtful arrangement, I’ve crafted a longer, deeper, soulful, and jazz-infused DJ mix so you can enjoy my favorite cuts in one place. As the title suggests, this DJ mix is my Thanksgiving vision for house music. Let’s eat, relax, and dance a little—then eat again, and repeat. File this under soulful, jazzy-inspired house, featuring standout vocalists and producers from this year. Some I’d never heard before, but I decided to give them a chance—and I’m glad I did. No regrets. Artists: Soul Harmonics feat Rachel Claudio, Glenn Underground feat Swaylo, Face feat Jennifer Perryman, DJ Aphreme pres Rainy Payne, Yogi feat Briohny Thomas, Eternal Sunshine, Studio Apartment, Mr V feat Miss Patty, Scope, Raw Artistic Soul feat Wunmi, DJ Man-X And Albert Sterling Menendez, Kenny Carvajal
I collected and mixed a selection of great tech-house and house tracks, infused with a funky vibe. The mix sits somewhere between tech-funk—if you can call it that—and straight house, blending the two flavors seamlessly. The atmosphere is dialed in for both car listening and the dance floor. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. Included with respect are some notable artists featured on this one: Gianluca Pighi feat Robert Owens, Phil R feat Jay Rolandi, Mr V, Marlon D Vs Mena Keys feat Max'C, Gabriel Black, MD X-Press, King Kooba, Joey Youngman, Jay-J, Mark Grant feat Russoul, Kenny Carvajal, Eyereel Allstars, Rodney Hunter
This time, I’m mixing a sensual, organic, deep, and soulful house DJ set. It starts slowly with some easy-listening vibes, then gradually builds with deeper grooves that will make you move your feet and dance. If you’re into music crafted by relatively unknown yet talented house producers, this one’s worth a listen: Stereo Mutants feat Nicole Tyler, Fred Everything feat Lisa Shaw, Samantha James, Alex Dimitri, Maxine Hardcastle, Key To Life feat Kathleen Murphy, Abicah Soul Project, Conan Liquid, DJ Gomi feat Louie Balo & Yasmeen, Kneedeep feat Cathy Batistessa, Miguel Migs, MJ Cole feat Laura Vane, Joyful Noise
