DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
In this DJ mix, you’ll notice fewer vocals and more electronica, with a deep-house vibe throughout. Like many of you, I love tech and deep house—the pure energy that moves you all day, whether you notice it or not. It’s not heavy on soulful, but trust me: you’ll want this one in your collection. I’ve put together a tech-deep house mix for tech-house fans, featuring some great artists: Fish Go Deep, Izmo feat. Dirty Rum, Alton Miller, Johnny Fiasco, Gabriel Black, Mr. Mama, Movido, JT Donaldson, Haldo, David Crops feat. Marina Claire, Goodfellas, Kinky Movement, King Kooba, Knee Deep, Jake Island feat Alec Sun Drae
I’ve put together a soulful, deep, and sexy house mix with a jazzy edge. After careful selection, I decided to blend it all into a single DJ mix titled “The Truth.” It leans funky and techy toward the end, but the goal is to carry a soulful vibe throughout. I hope you feel that mood too. Featuring standout producers and vocalists, this one’s a ride you won’t want to miss: Kings Of Groove feat Jessi Colasante, Demarkus Lewis feat Demetrius Price, DJ Le Roi feat Chappell, Phonic Punk & Max C, Jonny Quango, Stereo Mutants feat Jannae Jordan, Moses McClean feat Rob Burns, Johnny Fiasco, Demarkus Lewis, UncleSound, Danny Gutierrez, David Crops feat Marina Claire, Ralf Gum feat Wunmi, Kinky Movement
This one’s for tech-house lovers. I’ve searched high and low to curate the best tech-house picks of the year, and I’m confident they’ll satisfy your taste. Perfect for the dance floor, for dancing, or even for a drive and a party night. You’ll still find soulful and jazzy moments sprinkled in, but at its core, this is pure tech-house. Artists: Vasili Gavre feat. Emme, Raf'n'Soul feat Tony Marino, Kings of Groove feat Jessi Colasante, Salvatore Agrosi, Sebastian Davidson, Mena Keys, Knee Deep, Fish Go Deep, Jon Cutler, Ralf GUM feat Wunmi, eDeep, Izmo feat Diamondancer
For all you disco dancers and funk enthusiasts, here’s one great DJ mix to shake things up. It’s deep house with a funky edge, blending disco influences, rich melodies, and a punchy rhythm. Artists: Motor City Drum Ensemble, King Kooba, Goodfellas, Tom Drummond, KB Swing, TBF, Roshan, Torvill & Deen feat Tyree Cooper, Elements of Life feat. It’s a touch commercial, sure, and you’ll recognize many tracks, but who cares? It’s all about good old house music and the joy of dancing. Whether you’re in the club, singing in the shower, chilling at home, or throwing an epic party with friends, this mix is for you.
