DJ Mixes

DeepLink
While working as a DJ in local clubs and venues, it’s only natural that I’ve gathered many great deep, soulful, jazzy house tracks. I began exploring good dance music in my teenage years in the late ’90s, and I’m still going strong. Over the years, I’ve been asked to mix some of the best house tracks for my friends and fans, so I decided it would be cool to share them online with the broadest possible audience. I’ve got plenty of DeepLink DJ Mixes on this website, feel free to listen, and if you really like them, download and share them with other house music lovers. Enjoy.
Deep Retro Grooves
Here is a collection of music I’ve cherished for a long time. Even now, I can still listen to it as if it were new. It features some of the oldest and finest house and deep house productions that feel timeless to me. Call it classics, retro, roots, yet it’s so much more than that. This music represents some of the best years of my life; it was my mainstream house for a long time, and it still is. For many listeners, though, it may feel underground.
Mix The Groove
This section of the site is dedicated to my online radio show, the DJ residency I hosted in 2007–2008 on UK internet radio MixTheGroove. Although the station eventually shut down, I preserved the shows as downloadable MP3s. Each episode is a pure DJ mix, it was music only with no talk. Every week, I carefully selected and blended some of the best and more niche deep, soulful, jazzy, and tech-house tracks. I hope you enjoy them.
Live DJ sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
Radio Shows
I’ve spent more than ten years as a DJ on numerous local radio stations in my city, and I’ve always enjoyed mixing new electronic music and curating engaging radio programs. Radio is wonderful because you know someone’s listening, even if you don’t know who they are or how many are tuned in. However, I didn’t record many of my DJ sets, though I did capture a few of my latest sessions from my favorite radio station ever, IN RADIO Novi Sad (1998–2009, R.I.P.). My main goal was to promote new and classic deep, soulful, funky, jazzy, Latin, and tech-house music while having fun in the process. These radio shows were recorded exclusively without my talk, just good old house music. Thanks for listening.
Long DJ Mixes
Years ago, while browsing my precious music collection, I began to imagine mixing my favorite tracks into an epic, long DJ set. I wanted a flow that could traverse different styles and folders from my computer (1973–2003), not for technical perfection, but to create something immersive I could listen to while pursuing other creative pursuits. It took me a lot of time to prepare and blend these long mixes, but the payoff was worth it. I cared less about technical details and more about music selection. After months of preparation, I finally launched this huge project, and now we have four ultra-long DJ mixes that showcase some of the best talents in electronic and contemporary music.
Guest Mixes
As you can tell, I’ve spent a lot of time mixing and recording my DJ sets. I didn’t have much time to record and mix for other internet sites or organize things, so I ended up with only two recorded DJ mixes to share. I know that isn’t a lot, but I’m excited to put them out there anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy these two deep, jazzy, soulful mixes I produced for the DeepGroove Show & DeepGroove Show.
This mix leans more toward musicians than vocalists—some might call it instrumental, but for me it’s still quintessential house tracks. It may be a bit of a challenge for some listeners, with longer solos from the underground king Glenn Underground and other standout artists, including: Gee, DJ Bullet feat.Divine Lope, Tracy Hamlin, Leandro P. Feat. Daniel Reis, Alex Millet, KPD feat. Mike Molina, Mena Keys, Marlon D, DJ Wady, Seascape, Dawn Tallman, Harley & Muscle feat. Marshall Jefferson, The Sura Quintet, RubberLips, Yakka, Kevin Crafts, DJ Bullet feat.Divine Lope, Fred Everything, Private Chapter.
I’ve dropped some beats and vocals in this mix as I gear up for Christmas 2012. I hope you’ll like it. It’s 100% soulful and deep house, so expect some stunning vocals and real singing. Finding these tracks wasn’t hard—the production is getting hotter by the day ;) If you love deep soulful house, this one’s for you. Check it out: UC Beatz, Soulfeenix feat. Janyssha Lyon, Ree Morris, Deep Xcape feat. Oscar, Groove Assassin, Kenny Bobien, Ananda Project & Kai Martin, The House Inspectors, Mojito feat. MJ White, Alex Ander, SoulBasics feat. Kyla Sexton, Audiowhores, Steven Stone & Marc Evans, Robert Owens, Reel People & Omar, Gee.
Autumn is here, and I wanted one more tech-forward-than-soul mix for outdoor activities. After some time and careful selection, I’ve put together a 2-hour set for the soul-tech house crowd—and for myself. It’s deep and techy, with a healthy dose of soul. Who’s in there, or who’s mixed here? A blend of some of the best producers, plus a few fresh faces—both guys and girls: Gee, Markus Schatz, Anthony Nicholson, Glenn Underground, Johnny Bravo feat Darya Sergiyenko, Carpetbaggers, True2Life, Pete Dafeet, Sergio Diaz, Jangatha, G-rillo feat Karol, Ralph Session & E-man, Mino 5 feat Alice, Flapjackers, Rhenalt, Eriq Johnson feat Jussendo, Sol4orce & Sheree Hicks, Capital O, Demarkus Lewis, Dave C & DJ Romain.

I love shining a light on new producers and emerging names, but you’ll also find some well-known hit makers here.
