Dacha's Live Sets
On this page you’ll find my DJ sets, recorded live at some of my favorite clubs and venues. I was a resident DJ for many years, spinning four nights a week at the legendary Club Contrast, and I also held a resident night at Paradiso discotheque in Novi Sad. Lounge Café was the last venue where I performed weekly before moving to New York City. Each set offers a distinct vibe, and I encourage you to listen and download. The music is 99% house, with strong influences from Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Afro-Latin rhythms and other elements.
With my new DJ laptop always ready, I planned a nonstop mixing session for a joy-filled crowd. After adopting Native Instruments Traktor, I could log nearly all my sets without hassle. I later realized many of my recordings (101%) are perfect for parties, simply press play and let the night roll with guests. This long set ran for about four hours nonstop. This very long, very good live DJ mix marks my first recording at Lounge Cafe (R.I.P.). Lounge was, for me, the best cafe in Novi Sad, ideal for nu-jazz and the deep, soulful side of house music. The nights were always packed with an amazing crowd, and during the day they pumped in lounge vibes that let you unwind and chill. I didn’t have proper DJ equipment that night, but I was excited to share everything I’d collected for this kind of event. Take a look at the lengthy track listing; it’s a testament to the great party energy we had. I mixed for over six hours, featuring artists like Crazy Penis, Blakkat, Rivera Rotation, J.Axel, Kenny Carvajal, DJ Deep, Fred Everything, Minus 8, Suges & Martino, Miguel Migs, Native New Yorkers, I_Shead, Blaze, and E-man.
